About HLD Photography
Hi, Lee here from HLD Photography. I've been shooting 35 mm since (hhmm dinosaurs were walking then) 1982. I went digital in 2003. My primary focus in photography is weddings, but I am moving into on-site portrait work also. I shoot with professional grade cameras and lenses and have worked with other wedding photographers as well as shooting weddings on my own.
For weddings, I combine traditional poses with a photo journalism style. Knowing this is your special day, I always try to capture images of the distinct personality of each bride and groom as well as the guests and location setting. <Click Here>
Since 2009, I have shot special events in addition to weddings. February 2009 - one of my photographs won First Place in the Black and White Competition at the Capital City Camera Club. In Fall 2009, I participated in the 2009 Scott Kelby Worldwide Photoshop Photo Walk at the Cary location. <Click Here>

Later Duke hospital wanted additional images and selected the top eight scoring images for additional purchase. One of mine was one of those top eight. <Click Here>

On my blog I wrote about what I considered one of the most awesome moments I have seen in a while when one of the players hurt her side and flat refused to come off third base but continued to finish to come home. (Click Here for Blog Story about this>
I have also photographed three funerals but those sites are permanently closed except to the families.
